Winter Fun

Chilled well and shivering, 2018 is showing to be intense by the reminder of what is a true Winter. Brr. The outside temperature here is the coldest this month at -7ºF. The sun is out. The air is clear with blue skies above.
January is a time to brain storm where, what, when, and why any of it is worth doing. Pick a goal and hang off it ornaments of challenge, confidence, joy and something that resembles success. A fun attitude can go only so far.  Results are what brings a project to completion.
Thus, a fun winter challenge to eat well by marking the days without junk food.
No: Candy, cake, ice cream, soda, pie, chips or pudding
Fun times

  1. Beautiful shot!

It's more moderate here today than it was yesterday, but that's still quite cold.

    1. Yes, Tabor, manageable indeed. :) Stopping for a regular coffee this morning (only decaf at home), asked myself, "What can I eat?" I remember strudel isn't on that snack list.

  3. Hope you are warmer now. We have 40 degrees-up from about 2 or 3 degrees, and the worst was -35 wind chill. Stay safe and warm.

    1. Hi Debra, A stay warm to you as well
It is warmer, but windy. Lots of blowing snow in places (that need wind break fencing). The slush on top of packed snow is quite slippery for walking. I felt like I was playing a little choo choo train shuffling/chugging along. lol

    1. Hi Loree,
Warmer here soon. If winter ends too soon, then I miss it. Until then, I miss spring. :)

Thank you. It is warmer today, but not so for tomorrow. Winter is being winter.

  8. "No: Candy, cake, ice cream, soda, pie, chips or pudding." I'm obviously no fun then because apart from the very occasional piece of chocolate and sometimes chips as a treat when I'm eating out, I rarely eat anything on that list. Now if you said that I should do without pasta then.....I'd just ignore you!

    1. Hi Graham,
The recent photos you posted are gorgeous.
I gave up 90% of pasta over a year ago, gluten free thing. I tried the corn pasta, horrid stuff without chili all over it. I do, however, make exceptions for the cannned ravioli, a childhood treat.

    1. Hi Carol,
All is well at 44ºF instead of below zero. And, I've seen the sun today.
I hope all is well with you.
