Capturing the Best of the Fall Season

Snake Mountain, Addison, Vermont
Times flies is real. I've never seen the wings or heard the engines, but I know that an entire season can go by without feeling it has been here.  A way to help ensure you have the best of fall or any season is to plan. Know what you want. Embrace all the elements of autumn that are beautiful to you. I think being outdoors increases the seasonal impact of autumn.

1.Write down what signifies the season best for you...
Holidays, Colors, Weather, Events, Food, Activities, Clothes,Trips, Festivals

2. List the best of the best...examples for fall
Pumpkin spice coffee
Pick your own apples
Warm sweaters
Rummage sales

3. Make a Plan for Your Autumn
Pumpkin Hunting
Soup recipe
Foliage tour
Cold mornings, coffee outdoors
Photograph fog on spider webs
Having friends over to make apple pie
Orange mums by the door
Collect branches
Carve a pumpkin

I'm determined to not let this autumn fly by like the summer of waiting for summer.
In October, this blog will be all about pumpkins, color, foliage, outdoors, branches, coffee, soup,  snow geese, spooky stories, picking your own apples, and an excursion or two to picnic and paint.

  1. Ah Maywyn - super advice for enjoying every moment of this beautiful season...especially like the apple pie one. Have a great day. Hugs!

    1. Hi Debbie,
      A great tomorrow to you!

  2. Here fall seems in a holding pattern. We're in a warm spell- more consistently warm than it's been all summer.

    1. Hi William,
The same here. The sun was hot as summer today.

  3. This is a lovely post-and great tips for savoring time. Thank you!

    1. Hi Debra,
October will be fun around here!
