Update 28 Dec 2016...dry enough for another layer of paper, plus cheese cloth...posting later this week.
30 Dec 2016...Completely saturating the first paper layer and glue is the reason is taking so long to dry.

    1. Hi Tabor,
If there's a course in sculpture or 3-D, then I highly recommend it if you haven't taken one already. They open the mind to all sorts of materials and tools.

  2. Oh thank you! Of course, an armature.....I guess chicken wire would work too, but I think your idea is just perfect. I AM going to make some of these in my fabric prim-style. I do love seeing your progress, and love the beautiful deer sketch on the previous post. Maywyn-you MUST show more of your artwork this new year!!!! You are a fine artist-why are you hiding it??????!

    1. Hi Debra,
Thank you Debra. Your encouragement means a great deal to me. I will be showing more of my artwork this year.
The faux deer is turning out to be a good learning experience. The saturated paper feels dry. I'm giving it another day before I add more paper and cheese cloth. The cloth will be on the backer board to make the sculpture more secure. For sure More wire in the armature! I see that mistake I've made, not attaching antlers, ears and more wire in the wire stage.
