The First Snowfall of the Season

Yesterday was the first snowfall (locally) of the season. The photo above was taken last night. The maple leaf is hanging on a seedling in a planter that I've been tending for a couple of years. I'm hoping in the spring to find someone that will plant it in their yard. But not more than I hope to win the lottery to plant it in My yard. I smile. Okay, now I'm laughing.

  1. Beautiful! We had our first snowfall here in Montreal yesterday as well! Thanks so much for the Thanksgiving wishes; we celebrated our Thanksgiving here in Canada in October. :)

  2. Very moody peace with the warmth of autumn handing on as winter moves in.

    1. Hi Tabor,
The maple seedling is in a protected space that's warmer than the rest of the yard. Its taking forever to drop it leaves. It looks like it wants to be a snowman. :)

  3. how pretty. I wish it would snow here but there's no chance of that ever happening.

    1. Hi Loree,
A four season area is nice except for the roads in winter. It took me over a year to get use to a warmer climate when I lived in at a lower latitude.
