Update on pet adoption

Teddy aka Bidule in an animal shelter SPA des Baux, Provence, France, appears to not have  been adopted yet. His photo is still on the shelter website. His blogger expat previous owner had to give him up due to her illness with ALS.

The shelter rules refuse to allow an  international adoption. The new owners must live in France.

  1. SO sad to hear this...all animals deserve that forever home. Poor thing, to have gone from a loving home, to shelter life, and an uncertain future! XOXO

    1. Hi Tanya,
It is sad. I'm surprised Teddy hasn't been adopted yet. He was at the shelter 4 years before the last owner adopted him. Must be horrible being back there again.

    2. I don't know if it's "lost in translation", but the French are pretty nasty in their comments on these poor dogs! I noticed that yesterday, and just went back to see exactly which dog he is. Yeah, rather rude write-ups on all these pups.

    3. Tanya,
Some of the descriptions are a bit rough, but I think that's the lost in the translation.

  2. Teddy's situation is quite tragic. He looks like a lovely dog and very friendly.

    1. Hi Loree,
I read the website today. There's a dog that's been there for 8 years. Bless the shelters they keep them.
