Drawing Branches

Drawing a section of a large tree helps learn the bark and branch forms.

  2. I have been walking in woodlands full of old oak trees and they have such spectacular branches. I agree with you that sitting and drawing them is the way to appreciate them, how wonderful they are. The shapes are so familiar yet so subtly different.

      I dream of being in the UK for a walk in the woods to see the surreal masses of blue bells in the spring. Alas, the dream will have to wait until next year.
