The Snow Oak Leaf

An oak leaf anchored in the snow tanning itself under January sun in below zero temperatures is a display of admirable attitude. What's more, the oak tree is yards away over the fence and up the hill.
I'm writing a story, "The Snow Oak Leaf." The leaf is a sign to journey to warmer latitudes. We travel in the direction the leaf is pointing. And to top is all off, by a slight wind, the leaf waves as if saying good-bye.
I feel blessed to experience the process that generated many of the myths people follow.

Where will you say hello to a story?
