A Monday Downpour

Wow, is it raining out!
Wind with a line of heavy rain almost the length of Vermont. Gusts are strong. I open the patio door to rain is right in my face from the south. Wind here is scary with a huge willow tree not far from the building.

This morning was warm and sunny. I had to take off my jacket on the way home. I changed into shorts and a short sleeve tee shirt.

  1. Our wind is very frightening too. Last year it knocked out a huge walnut tree, just missing my potting shed and the year before it dislodged a 200 year old maple in our driveway. Give me buckets of rain, any day!

    1. Hi Jeri,
Wow, losing a walnut tree is as awful as losing a 200 year old tree.
      Stay safe

  2. Dear Maywyn - I know how scary the wind can be...live in a woods with trees twice the height of the house...God's grace is good so far because in the thirty-two years we have lived here nothing has hit the house. The weather is crazy here too...Sunday 80 and humid...today high of 59 and really cool. Went from running the fan to putting a touch of heat on! Have a great day.

    1. Hi Debbie,
      You are blessed.
I saw on a gardening show, trees should not be within their maximum height of a house. Every time I see a tree near a home, I think about that. When its windy, I pack up my valuables in case that willow gives way on the roof.
      Have great week
