The Pheasant

Archibald Thorton, 1926 , gouche & watercolor via Wikipaintings

Pheasants are classy birds. As a child I was thrilled to see them during family rides to the family field in Concord, Massachusetts. The last one I saw was in the Waltham woods not far from the Cambridge Reservoir, (locally known as the Water Basin). I happily discover Thorton's work during an Internet search on pheasants for a website project. My website home page will have pheasants in the borders.
