Snow Storm

Light and gentle powder snow has been falling for a few hours here at this low elevation in Vermont a half hour south of Burlington. There is no wind swaying the branches. The air feels cold, but not biting cold. I read in the headlines the storm is worse farther south in New England. I pray everyone is safe.

The squirrels will often stay in when the outdoor temperatures are freezing or below. One appears to be frolicking, but he's actually moving quite fast and deliberate.

After the winter of no winter last year, looking at snow this winter feels better, safer as if the world is back on track.
